1st Sunday is Travel

Not much sleep, Dan is still in the throe's of a cold. He can't heaR, low fever, slightly sweaty.
Cheery Diane comes to take us to the airport at 5:00 am
Pilgrim seems nervous but performs well, albeit with the skittishness of a colt.
We board and Dan settles into sleep. I devour my scone and the book, Sharp Objects.
An hour from Honolulu Dan wakes and we enjoy the sandwiches we've packed. Pilgrim gets a few bites of banana snd a few ice cubes.
The agricultural inspection is easy. She's looking for ticks on his hairy body. She gives up as much as finishes!
We scramble to the next gate. Arriving three hours early we pay a slight fee to board the next plave to Kauai three hours early, where we have first class seats.
We are very tired by now.
Our sUV is waiting at Alamo and we zoom North to Princeville.
Checking in, unpacking and Dan does the grocery shopping.
Pilgrim is in awe of the NeNes and roosters. I admire clouds.
Dan leads us to the cliffs with a drink as we settle into our adirondacks. Whales leap.

Dinner is early, a roasted chicken for Dan and sushi for me accompanied by island salad.
We go to bed on the early side, and compose ourselves.
 Amen
